Wainscott Farms was founded by Jane E. Lappin. The business grew from her passion to create for herself and her clients beautiful outdoor surroundings. For over 30 years, she has nurtured the landscapes of the most unique and prestigious homes and estates on the East end.

Her work is nationally acclaimed and has been published in publications such as Architectural Digest, Fine Gardening, Traditional Home, Martha Stewart Living, Better Homes and Gardens as well as included in numerous garden books. Her acclaim as a designer has brought her from the Hamptons to New York City, Maine to Palm Beach for gardening and landscape projects.

Jane’s meticulous attention to details and high expectations for quality and service sets her company apart. She works closely with the premier architects and builders. Jane added greenhouses to her business so that she had access to plant material that met her exacting standards. But, Jane and Wainscott farms is more than just exacting.

Under Jane’s direction the company is also compassionate and welcoming. She gives generously to many local charities and is actively involved in the community. In addition to being known as a successful business owner, she is well known for her passion to rescue, rehabilitate and place abandoned dogs. She has rescued hundreds through her work with ARF of Rincon and the Hamptons.
